I am not sure this is a great idea, I would have no confidence about any sort of chemical metal adhering in that environment, in the long run.
Loctite has some products two components for different metals, aluminium or cast iron etc. you can use for repairs that will outlast the engine or the car itself. There's no hard environment in that area. No mechanical stress.

What companies claim these products will do and what they will actually do are two difference things. The block is still going to get hot, it will expand and contract and vibrate. The repair will be very reliant on the surface area for adhesion, how rough the surface is and how free it is of contaminants.

I am not saying it definitely won't work but I wouldn't like to drive a car knowing that kind of repair was in there. I would be constantly worried about it coming loose.
