Would they even go into a Dolomite engine bay without mods.

I’ll go ST170 it’s lighter and I’ll bet more fun when done.
I’m doing this swap!! It does fit but it’s tight.

Engine with full ancillaries from a jag manual I’ve got has it at 174kg and I read a engine swap guide somewhere that put the 1500 engine at 125kg and a sprint one at 150kg, so not that much of an increase.

The overall length is around 685mm. But that length is to the front of the engines fancy variable length intake manifold, take that off and the engines around 550mm long. The heights ok too, but gotta take that manifold off for it to fit into the Dolomite engine bay, as it sticks it into the nose part where the bonnet line droops. Gearbox tunnel might needs some “massaging” as the box absolutely fills the tunnel. Do need to make a linkage for it as the jag one is bout 1.5ft long and the back of the gearbox is bout 100mm from the front of the handbrake lever 😂
So many ideas... So little budget... So little time.
