Hi
If you have a continuity meter, put it on the fuse connector (Not 12v side) and the earth, you should get a reading,
If you now start pulling connectors apart in the car, if the reading then stops, you will have isolated the area where the short is which should be less time consuming, making your needle in a haystack more of a needle in a straw bale.
