Are the sprint and stag steering wheels identical? The car currently has a motalita fitted, and I'd prefer an original sprint one.

Secondly, Is it possible to get a standard heater matrix? Mines currently useless, and would like to find a new, decent quality replacement!
Could you get the original heater matrix recorded at a radiator shop,
Steering wheel stag mk2 is the same as Sprint mk1 stag wheels were bigger in size

I think I have a couple of used heater matrices in the shed, but it is quite a task to replace one. I also have a couple of used Sprint steering wheels

The problem with the heater matrix is commonly either a seized operating valve, meaning it doesn't open and is manifest by a stubborn 'cold' to 'hot' lever, or simply an air lock caused by the coolant having been charged with the heater in the 'cold' position. The heat exchanger itself is usually in reasonably serviceable condition as it is protected inside the car and also inside the unit

I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple of rad companies, I'm guessing they must be shut over the holidays!
Do you happen to know the diameters of the two?

Xvivalve, do you have rough prices in mind?

Im think it'll just be silted up, valve seems to work fine. Everytime i flush and descale it, it'll work great initially, and then get worse again.
I don't think it's airlocking, as it will get warm after being flushed, unless these are particularly bad at airlocking?

Does anybody happen to know the thread size, and length of, the 4 bolts that should hold the indicator and wiper stalks to the steering column?

I have a sprint head, and the bearing surfaces for the camshaft are not in the best shape. Before i spoke to a machine shop, i thought I'd ask here. Does anybody know how this can be repaired? Honed and a custom cam with bigger journals? Or is it possible to machine the head to take bearing shells? Or chuck it and find a better one?!
