I've been saying for a while that this is not a country I want to grow old in, but am now starting to think more along the lines of hanging around and trying to get things back to a better standard.

Trouble is, put your head above the parapet and the 'do-gooders' will harangue you until you are forced to give up. They'll play the race card, the sexist card, ageist card, the human rights card every time you open your mouth. I seriously think I was born a century too late. Problem is in that time too many folk have been given an opinion and too many people have listened...

But is the grass really any greener?
