I've been saying for a while that this is not a country I want to grow old in, but am now starting to think more along the lines of hanging around and trying to get things back to a better standard.
Trouble is, put your head above the parapet and the 'do-gooders' will harangue you until you are forced to give up. They'll play the race card, the sexist card, ageist card, the human rights card every time you open your mouth. I seriously think I was born a century too late. Problem is in that time too many folk have been given an opinion and too many people have listened...
But is the grass really any greener?

Probably no, but then I won't have to see a country that I considered to be mine deteriorate before my very eyes.

Mines hanging up in the wardrobe behind me as I type this next to my stab vest, got a couple of Glock holsters and spare mags somewhere around here - but no gun

The grass is not greener, I'd move back to jolly old England in a shot!
Cheers
