NGE 6V was registered in Glasgow assuming that it is the original number plate. I have a list of all the registration area codes for the prefix and sufix plates issued between 1963 & 2001.

The UK reg system is mostly as described by miniman except that the location letters for that period were alwars the last 2 of the 3 letter group.

What period did that cover out of interest?? My plate is NJV 75 M - from the table I was referring to it could only possibly be NJ (Newcastle) as nothing (appears) to start with 'J'
