Those are just the photos and diagram I need Sean. Thank you so much. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘

I think youโ€™re right in that the diagram in your Parts Catalogue is much better than the one in my July 73 version. Much better appreciation as to what bracket 150676 actually looks like all round now.

I agree that getting duplicate of your bracket will suffice for my need. Iโ€™ll pass these photos onto to my friend in engineering works and see if we can now reverse engineer the bracket of concern to me.

Many thanks again for helping me out. Much appreciated.

Cheers

David

Hi Sean,

Could I just ask a small additional favour?

Could you please measure one length side and one width side of the bracket?

Many thanks again

David

I suspect a bit of bent drilled steel will get the job done for you
I suspect that is actually what Sean has! The OE seems to have a tang on it that located in the side of the clamp; possibly to stop rotation as the nut is tightened...

I very much feel youโ€™re spot on there Alun.

However, I think we have some very valuable pieces of information that I and my friend Kevin can now use to make something that is a perhaps ok to be considered a close approximation of what the original bracket looks like, including the tang, as that clearly performed a function. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคž

I'd be inclinedto make the face that fits over the stud a little narrower, or taper it towards the gearbox (and stud hole) end. Just to give an element of adjustability. As Shaun's is made, there's so little leeway it might as well be all one piece! The stud MUST be designed as a pivot of sorts, or there's no point in it being there!

Just a thought, Steve

Many thanks Steve. Iโ€™ll pass your comments on to Kevin and see what he can come up with.
