Re: A Newbie with a Sprint.
I have a few blocks in the garage. One full block with head from a barn Sprint I scrapped a while ago (unknown condition). One short block which used to be in my track Sprint (pistons a bit sloppy). One short block (ex. track Sprint) +0.040" but with only 3 pistons. One short block completely stripped. Come up & have a look.
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years.
... Still Sprintless.
Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

Yes, the first one I mentioned. It had been sat in a Sprint, in a barn for 10 years. I completely stripped the Sprint before scrapping it (
) & will eventually strip & rebuild the engine.

Re: A Newbie with a Sprint.
I only know of one Sprint for sale (possibly, in Weston), it was on ebay a couple of weeks ago but didn't sell. It's an ex. hillclimb/sprint Dolly Sprint, the guy wanted over 2k for it. Or I have one for sale for 6k!!!!!!!

Yep, in Stourbridge. There must be a rusty doner car with a good lump about?
Pageant Blue, was brown. Body needs general TLC+, structural work to one cill, one chassis leg and boot floor, maybe more. Sweet engine, was seen & heard running by many at TDCIR £400 and Mart will buy the rear tyres off you! Would have preferred it to get restored, but I need the space and when its your's you can do what you want!
Re: A Newbie with a Sprint.

Re: A Newbie with a Sprint.
A grand is a bit too much, plus a healthy lump is what im really after... The cars on ebay, i got 60 watchers, it will probably sell at its starting bid of £150 knowing my luck!! But unless i can get an engine it may as well go through the door to someone who can make use of it
. i know a top man who can move it anywere for £s.if you want it.
I spoke to several people regarding an engine including Revington TR who are down the road from me and Robsport, but the quote for to rebuild my motor is way too much in my eyes. Even if i do it myself, im not inspired to spend that much when mot'd cars are going at such reasonable prices.

Re: A Newbie with a Sprint.
i have a decent almost complete sprint motor, ive never heard/seen it run, but it was running when it was removed (not literally, that would be silly) its stored currently on a pallet on racking at one of our shops near daventry.
needs a flywheel and manifolds.
feel free to get it out my way for a 1er.
