POR-15 is temperature resistant up to 700 degrees. A test showed that no adhesion was lost at 700 degrees F for 10 hours

Should be ok. I nearly took the p!$$ when you said you'd used chassis paint on a very high temp object. But I don't like to shoot my mouth off so I checked on the por15 site:

Calipers look well BLING now , resplendent in shiny black.
Next problem pistons. Having finally removed stuborn pistons they are all fooked. Chrome lifting and pitted. Bugger.
Just discovered tho that they are 1.5" dia and I have an abundence of 1.5" stainless steel bar.
I feel another upgrade coming on.
Have lathe , will turn.

3 years ago i rebuilt the the front calipers on my Rover P5b, the pistons did not look good, a mechanic friend of mine said try just rebuilding with new seals and see what happens, nothing to loose.
Well they have'nt leaked and they work perfect, it might be worth a try!!

The secondary school I went to is about 100 yard from the house I bought. All through my school days I really enjoyed metalwork and used to go in evenings quite often as there were evening classes run. So what do the county cuntcil do? Close it of course. Most of the building is still there and it calls itself a adult education centre but from what I've seen all you can do there now is football, flower arranging and English as a foreign language
