Right then. Today saw me grinding down the welded sill plate on the n/s sill. A bit of red oxide and that was that. The car is all at the same level now with regards to the bodywork.
A small amount of primer tomorrow along with some more anti stone chip paint, along with a wee bit of sanding down of primer will see the car ready for a few coats of Honeysuckle on Tuesday. A quick rinse off and a brush out of the garage then paint time.
Put the battery on the car today to move her over and she started first time. Sounds nice too. Can't wait to get it finished now.
During the winter lay up I will be tackling the door bottoms as there are some blisters, etc. Also will do the rear arches properly. Just want to get the car done for the TDCIR. She wont be perfect but she'll look tidy.
Next year will see a new club sill being fitted to the n/s and some new shocks and springs perhaps. Also want to strip down the underneath, rust kill and paint. Not much then

Am knackered. Spent most of the day sorting out the odds and sods that needed doing: securing the back seats properly, refitting the interior light, etc, etc. Also finished of the prep for painting. So off down to the local paint shop (at the end of the road) tomorrow to buy some cans of 2K.
Also cleared out the garage brushed up, damped down, etc, etc. Got rid of loads of rubbish. Have much more room now
Even managed to find a Kenlowe fan. Don't know if it works. Looks decent though.
Hope the piccies are ok. More tomorrow
Nearly there!!!!!!!!
Ken
LD is covered in dust at the moment. Can't wait to wash her down and polish some life into the paintwork. So close it hurts!!!!

That looks really good Ken, well done. I like the white sidewalls too. Suits the car. Makes me regret selling my own 1500TC even more!

Just one thing though mate, did you realise you have fitted the steering wheel in the wrong place??
Just watch the old overspray when your painting, you know the trouble i have had with it!!

Cheers guys,
The whitewalls are actually just white 'bands' that have a lip that fits under the bead of the tyre. £40 or thereabouts for a set. When the dust settles I might actually have the wheels painted white (after having them sandblasted). I think they suit the colour of the car quite well. Plus it's something a bit different too.
Cheers Nath, thought the car handled funny

Progress report:
Painted the front end, o/s front wing rear panel, bottom of the rear wheelarch section and one side of the under bumper bit. Will finish off the painting tomorrow. Got about 3 or 4 coats on the front end and only a couple of small runs and a wee bit of overspray

Not bad for rattle cans and a dark garage

A bit of anti-stonechip paint here and there should see all the painty bits finished by lunchtime.
Need to: put the lights back in, put the front bumper back on and refit the old grilles for now. Then give her a wash on Friday. Change the tyres and do a quick check of the electrics. Might tidy up the chin spoiler and fit that at the weekend.
Then Project Lemondrop should be completed
What shall I do after that
