Wheels now polished, painted & clad in Pirelli P3000 175/70/13 tyres. Done the bit of welding I needed to do on the chassis leg & then undersealed the whole underside. All fuel & brake pipes fitted underneath, propshaft & exhaust fitted.

The wheels that came with the car were in pretty good nick to start with. Mary rubbed them down with Wet & Dry, I polished them with my leccy drill attachments & then Mary painted the black bits front & back. I reckon approx. 2 hours per wheel altogether.

What leccy drill attachments do you use, Mart?
I've got some wheels to renovate, and it would be great to be able to get away from using pure elbow grease

I started off with a polishing kit from
'The Polishing Shop' a few years ago. I now just buy the odd polishing mop & cutting compound as & when.

Got the engine started a couple of days ago. It starts & ticks over nicely & I haven't even touched the timing or set up the carbs yet.
Put on the new number plates I purchased from Framptons (£59.95).
Also re-torqued the head & fitted the spoiler.
We're getting pretty close to finishing now (famous last words). All we need is a nice Sundym windscreen, some horns & a couple of stainless steel wiper blades. [-o<

I've had the coachlines sat on my computer desk for the last 18 months Malc, they
were destined for a Brooklands Green Sprint, but hay!
I guess THJ is an Essex reg. then?

Mart, I bought a couple of horns for the landie and they looked the spit of what was on LD. Not dear and easily bought from your local Landie independant.
The clour looks much better with the trim and other bits on, it mellows it somewhat. I like!

Thanks Ken, I'll bear that in mind but Chris 2Toledos says he has some, somewhere. I've also got some wiper blades coming from Alan Crome & Justyn has a windscreen for me. Trouble is trying to get the windscreen here asap as I'm trying to get THJ ready to take to Castle Combe on the 12th.
HJ is "Southend on Sea" Mart.
Ah, thought as much, cheers Mike.
