Having driven my uncles V70 2.4 SE today, I want it.
He's getting a new car next week.
Offered me the Volvo for next to sod all.
However, £950 to insure and an average fuel consumption of around 24mpg at most, is not ideal.
That 5 cylinder warble is addictive though...

Put a lightly alcohol induced bid on a 60's scooter. Still winning 2 days later. One and a half days to go. How do I explain this to my mother?

Tell her you thought she'd like to relive her teens? Assuming she's entitled to a say in the matter, she'll be so annoyed at being called a pensioner she might just forget to have opinions about the bike ;)

Best week yet so far in the watch and clock business :D

Watches and clocks....you might be able to help me, my Grandad has left me a load of watches don't think their very exciting makes but I think their very nice. Mainly Girard-Perregaux's and Mudu's; I've heard of GP's but can't find anything out about Mudu? They look quite nice and I'm guessing their from the 50's? Do you know anything about this marque of watch?

Say you're planning a series called The Hairy Mod Bikers.
Were the Hairy Bikers influenced by the Two Fat Ladies though?

Whom ever keeps hiding my 14mm spanners please stop now. Just went to do the gearbox mount on the L200 and every 14mm socket from 4 socket sets was missing as well as all my 14mm spanners. Oh and guess what size the bolts are. Yep you guessed right 14mm.

Of all the times of year for the oven to break down why does it have to choose just before Christmas. Now have no oven or hobs possibly untill after Christmas.

Dear Tool Fairy,

Please return my 1/2" drive torx bits.
I know that they are in the garage somewhere, and I know where they should be.
I'm slightly annoyed having spent an hour looking for them.

I will go and buy another set tomorrow, and know full well, 30 milliseconds after I return ,I'll find my original ones!

Yours in frustration cos I can't finish fitting the Trident exhaust 'til I find/buy them. :(
