I know, it's a pita having to wait soooo long, mine won't be back for another couple of weeks I reckon. As long as the end result is excellent I don't mind waiting & from what I've seen so far, it will be. :D

I'm very happy with the work so far. :D Through experience, I now make sure the sprayer knows exactly what sort of finish I'm looking for and that I will point out any small blemish. But I won't have to 'cause I know he takes great pride in his work.

Looks more Inca than mimosa that!

As we have come to expect, very Smart Mart.

Under the arches next ?

I always used to use a 'single pack acrylic' known as knacker laquer under the arches, brush it on. Because it was quite 'plasticy' it had a good chip resitance. Laterly used 're-paint' but not sure if you can still get it and how close you could get to Mimosa that looks Inca over the net

Inca!!!!!!!...........no where near!

Obviously you can't tell from the photos but I took an Inca boot lid down to compare and it's completely different. In fact it has rather a greenish look to it in the flesh.

Underside & arches will be shultzed & then body colour under the arches.

I would then blast inside sills, doors, panel skins, floor pans, in behind wheel arch liners etc all with waxoyl or similar.

There is now around 10 litres on SFB and all of the wheel arches and the chassis have been stonechipped and chassis blacked.

There will be more.

Can't have enough rustproofing!!!!

I hate you and your yellow car :)

nah, looks great mart, going to be awesome.

A little glimmer of hope from my paint guy. He showed just a smidge of remorse at having had the car for 4 months and done bugger all on it. Hasn't done anything yet, but my daily visits are putting the pressure on.

It looks a nice job indeed Mart.

Very good finish straight out of the gun, and to my eyes it is mimosa. Inca is a much "brasher" colour.

Its a shame you have to spoil it by putting vinyl roof and quarter panels on, as to my eyes the Dolly shape is at its best in unadorned form.

Still, my dislike of all that seventies black tat is well documented. :D

A lovely oaint job though, and seeing it must have given you a burst of motivation.
Martin.
