Today, I finished the operation that has taken 3 weekends, namely clearing/tidying the shed and garage.
Many important finds have been made including the floor and bench
My wife has been asking interesting questions like "what's that?". reply it's a balljoint/rotoflex/track rod end/shocker etc delete as appropriate, usually followed by "why have you got so many of them?"

Just successfully diagnosed and repaired a wirefeed fault on a MIG welder, down the phone to the owner with only this circuit diagram to go by:
Two diode failed in the "right" bridge rectified, got him to rewire it to half-wave and job's a good'un until he can source spares.
I think that earns me a

smiley

Off to Download in the Lolomite. 137 miles of motorway humdrum. Followed by 5 days of camping, 3 days of music and then another 137 miles.
At least I fixed the fuel leak, which explains my awful economy on Saturday!

Overheard today "I have no use for it, but must have it" very apt. I know many who feel the same, its a man thing.

So, ABB needles on an HS4 equipped 1850 with a stupid exhaust and K&N filters.
I might as well just burn the fuel straight out of the station pump...
Useless. Quicker, but useless.

If I can get a reasonable insurance quote, my old man has decided to lend me one of these for a bit to see if I like it... Well, it was either that or the Mini he's been trying to sell me for the last three months.

Just as well it's my birthday in just under a fortnight...

Just checked our new Pug 405's VIN number on the Peugeot Servicebox site, and it seems it never had the factory weapons mounting points / armament adaptations* fitted. Feeling ripped off now cos the PO said it was top spec
* yes, it really
does list them as an option!

Reversing a trailer when your not very experienced at doing so is not made easier by your farmer neighbour sitting in his tractor roaring with laughter as you make a pigs ear of reversing your little trailer back to a passing place so that he doesn't have to reverse his full silage trailer. I really must practice reversing the thing.
