Hey guys, sorry no update for awhile, its been busy...

The deadline to be out of the garage came, and on the day it was very far from roadworthy-amongst other things it had no windscreens, locks, handles, dash, seats, lights, brakes/clutch needed bleeding, oil/filter needed changing, still have the gearbox selector problem, exhaust was thrown on with a quick bit of welding but will need relocating as it will not clear the road humps I reckon, no tax/road permit either etc. I did go as quick as possible but ran out of time on my own to sort everything.

So, on the day I was trying to get all the main wiring fixed to start the engine,i was under pressure as all of the above needed doing and i only had a few hours left in the garage. I got it ready to start, put the batt on a fast charge, turned the ignition key, and nothing, no soleniod click or anything. I checked and checked again and it all seemed fine, the earth is good everywhere as far as i know, the power is getting to the starter on the main, checked the ignition feed at the soleniod when key was being turned and it was sending power, joined the two main connection on the starter and it turned over, but nothing happening to the soleniod. I am guessing that the soleniod is knackered.

So 8pm came and I was hoping that seeing as it was not long to go until It was drivable, they would have given me just a few more days until i could drive it out of there, I have known them for a number of years and would have worked for free for a bit after i finished the car, but he came over and said the time is up so nothing i could do but put down tools, pack all the bits into the car and get ready to ring around for a tow. I left the garage to phonecalls from them telling me it had to be out that night, so i was stressed a little to say the least. I sorted a tow the next morning, bought a cover, got it towed to outside my house, covered it, got a mate to keep an eye on it while i went and bought tax and a road permit, came back, put them on and have been sorting as much as i could over the past few days in my spare time away from catching up with work.

Still got loads to do, but i'm so happy to have it outside my house now, have had a lot of admiration, great comments and even some teenagers asking me if it was a mustang? :? .lol. I will keep it covered until i have it all ready, then in the future after i flat back all the paint and compound the paint i will not put cover back as not to scratch paint.

I've since fitted the windscreens, dash, headlights, door handles, locks, bought an alarm, as well as alot of other misc bits...

Sorry for the essay by the way too.lol

A pic or two for now :) :

Thanks, :) . I might need to do some re cutting and modding on the exhaust though as its only about 2inches from the floor as it is. :) Annoyed with myself for getting rid of the original system (sold on ebay) before i should've, but didn't think back then i would be in such a rush to fit the new one...

Anyone have any advice on the soleniod issue, and also it is quite difficult in getting it into some gears mainly reverse before i brought it in the garage, think the problem is at the selector bit at bottom of gearstick, is this a common problem?

Cheers again all!
