So far I've removed the sub frame & stripped all the suspension parts from it. I cleaned all the parts whilst Mary painted them. Then I stripped the brake calipers, fitted new seals & painted them. Mary stripped the door cappings.
Edit: Pics added.

I'll take some more pics tomorrow Alan. We have done a fair bit today. Mary was struggling with the new door rubbers, anyone have an easy way to fit them.

SPEECHLESS !!!! What a well documanted resto ..... i am in awe.... and i used to paint cars for a living, and teach it at NVQ level!!!
Your paint guy, from what i can see in the pics, has done a fantastic job.
Yet another story that has made me go back in the garage and see if i cant dig my project out and have another hour or so . !!!

Door rubbers: use the sharp end of one half a wooden clothes peg
Re: Project BFR (1973 Mimosa Sprint)
looks lovely mart... shame about the big hole in the floor though.. and i hope you dust that handbrake lever
Re: Project BFR (1973 Mimosa Sprint)
You absolute b'stard
I hadn't picked up on what colour it was going to be. Mine is supposed to look like that. Operative word being "supposed". On the plus side, what more motivation could one want for getting stuck back into working on it

Alun, We tried the clothes peg ploy today but went back to using the screwdriver & baby oil.
Paul, handbrake now clean & shiney.
James. I didn't know you were actually thinking of starting the resto.
I know a very good sprayer in Weston.
Thanks Matt. Yes the sprayer has done a superb job, feels like glass.
Done lots of bits & pieces today and a bit of searching for the odd part.
Rebuilt the hubs & calipers.

Fitted up the driver's door & just started on the rear one.
