Yes, its a early S2? has been there for ten years untouched, Lovely lump of corrosive attacked alloy where the engine should be, and, it never had the plugs in. Renault 16 I think? the twink is in the garage covered in cobwebs, that to has not moved in ten years. There's more but I have to resize every thing.

Agreed about the S2 bit, the cutaway buttresses say S2, but was the Renault hemi OHV engine not a S1 only thing? I'd thought, but could stand to be wrong, that S2s all had the Ford pre-crossflow based DOHC motor, certainly I've not met one without, but then I've only ever seen a handful and worked on one Europa, a S1 with the Renault engine that had been attacked by an ape who used his oxy torch to release the cover from the end of the head and melted it.
Fortunately, there were plenty of 16s, 17s and even the odd 12 Gordini in scrapyards then, so the part wasn't hard to find.
I love that Renault hemi, having fitted one into my own R12 Estate to create the sleeper whose extra get up & go saw me stopped one day on the A58, doing 111mph. The o/d fifth of the Trafic gearbox helped and the speedo was way off. No satnav back then of course.

Nice looking white moggie with a red soft top on the M25 this morning. OSR shock completely goosed and an unbalanced wheel, it was going round 2" eccentric.

Later on the M11 one of those 60's things a lot like a GT6 but not so well proportioned or pretty. Oh what is it? Y'know, all long and wierdly bulbous. Ah yes, an e-type.
1978 Pageant Sprint - the rustomite, 1972 Spitfire IV - sprintfire project, 1968 Valencia GT6 II - little Blue, 1980 Vermillion 1500HL - resting. 1974 Sienna 1500TC, Mrs Weevils big brown.

Can't accommodate it myself but Lotus bits may be able to help.

Their Lotus powered Micra is a sight to behold.
Thanks for the offer anyway.
Tony.
