Get yourself one of these kits Tony...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-RECHARGER ... 4897.l4276
I got the one with the pump-action cleaner & the aerosol oil. Used it on the S2000 a few weeks ago.

Cheers Mart, is 1 kit enough to do 2 filters?
Jeroen, the red theme is getting out of hand, would be nice though but the end fitting doesn't look right, could just use the outer sleeving.

Mine is quite a large cone filter so I would say yes there should be plenty to do both of yours.

A mate machined 3mm off the inside of the rear wheels today, this should give clearance on the rear wheel arches.

Re: MSO 662P
Spent all afternoon trying to get the exhaust on, decided against a side exit so went with the Rimmers system which came with the car, it is a bit rusty so I may replace it at a later date, when I have more funds.
Had to fit any alternative back box as the original had rusted through, got this off ebay, welded the brackets on, first bit of stainless steel mig I have done, went alright. Just need a finisher for the tail pipe.

Just got the wheels back from the powder coaters, black chrome, bit bling!

Just clear the rear arches

Went with Toyo Proxes 185/55/15

Re: MSO 662P
Started to fill up with coolant & the bloody bypass tube is leaking, so off with the manifold and wrecked the gasket, no spare so that's that, no chance of getting it started this weekend
Plenty of other stuff to do though.

Re: MSO 662P
Got the car on it's wheels today & I am please with how it sits, bit too much camber on the front but I can sort that out.

Got a new inlet gasket & refitted the bypass tube with new o rings, filled up with coolant & success, no leaks!
Popped some petrol in, roughly timed the ignition, see the results here:

I was well chuffed with it as it sounds really good, just need to get the strobe on it to get the ignition spot on.
Then I noticed this:-

That bloody bypass tube has started leaking, what a PITA, I think I need some slightly thicker O rings as it is not as tighter fit in the manifold as it is in the water pump cover, does such a thing exist, anyone know a source?
This is really putting me back, I wanted the car ready for Easter Monday, not sure I can make that now.

Tony
When I renewed my water pump last year I purchase a OEM link tube from Geoff @ Wins and mine too started to leak - I then purchased after market link tube from Robsports - these are the same a RB are selling and no further problems. I will post a picture of th OEM link tube when I'm back from Norway on Wednesday afternoon. I think the seals on the top and bottom of the link tube aren't thick enough where with the after market one they are proper "O" rings.
Regards
paul
Re: MSO 662P
Cheers Paul, but the one I have fitted is a Robsport tube. It is not a very tight fit in the manifold, so I think I need thicker o rings, or I might get a new tube machined up with the manifold end slightly larger so it is more of an interference fit in the manifold.
Re: MSO 662P
Well done Tony, great job, that car looks the Beez Kneez man!
Don't worry too much about the bypass hose, have seen this before on one that was put my way with the same issue, turned out to be crap quailty O rings.
Getting it machined up would be a good/ better option as you know exactly what the tolerances will be. You've done so much else to it, so why not.
Run standard coolant once its sorted and your certain that its cured, then chuck in that expensive stuff!!
Keep up the good work mate!!

Re: MSO 662P
The o rings on their own don't provide a great seal. I've used either blue hylomar in the past of instant gasket. Basically fit o rings, smear in sealant, insert tube and allow to cure before filling the system. When I used o rings on their own it seemed a bit marginal.
