Juri/Ian can these ball joint things be retro fitted?

I'm assuming I don't need to send them back or worse still, replace the entire unit?
I am sure you can retro fit the rose bushes just need to make sure the you have spacers to fill the gap. They will be harsher than bushes mind.

Look at following page on my thread, shows the bush i destroyed and the mod i did to put a better bush in.

Added a vent pipe, need the NRV and tun dish drain adding obviously but progressing non the less....most of the electrics are complete too, so it's just the piping of the carbs to do and we're looking at a start up!

Image

I've completed all the relay wiring for the electric heater, fuel pump, EWP and EWP fan and battery master switch, connected the dash instrument panel and loom and finally the battery and turned the key.....and nothing went pop and all seems to work which is mega progress!!

Have plumbed the fuel system in but have yet to test it as I want to have people stationed by each joint with a rag just in case it leaks!

Quite a momentous occasion this and not very exciting unless you get what it means, but this is the first time this car has had working lights at anytime since 1992!

Image

The indicators alone have cost a small fortune being the amalgam of about 5 different carcasses and a similar number of lenses until I've managed to get a decent pair and then rewired them so that they actually work....need to wire the dipped and main beam relays in now and then.......need to work out why none of the rear lights work!

As alluded to earlier I've now wired the new headlights by chopping into the loom that feeds the column switch and put some relays in there.

I've made a little brkt for them too!

I know it looks very close to the wiper linkage but it's not! :)

Got all the exhaust components back for the side exiting exhaust and in the process of creating the brkt that comes off the gearbox before I bolt it all together....it's not the same as std as I've changed the angle of the down pipes and extended the end pipe to suit the new set up.

Fitted the restored handbrake handle etc. and fitted the DaveMac renovated propshaft and put the front brake flexi's on.....Slow but progress is being made.

You have no plunge accommodation in that prop that I can see. How is that going to work?

On an 1850 it slides at the box. On most Sprints its in the centre CV. On some others Ive seen it at the axle end.

A little bit more progress made....refurbed the ally headlight surrounds and painted them....it's starting to look like a Sprint now!

I need to respray them matt rather than gloss black though I think?
