Your lucky you do not live here with our third world type roads, cos a car that low would get battered in the bum in UK.

Measure the bottom of the front wings down to the floor. I think my 1300fwd and Richs dolly 1300 were about 11cm :lol:

Stu, I just love that colour. In UK Audi sell it as Nogaro Blue and it is only offered on the sporty RS models, and then at a considerable premium.

Put simply, it looks the dogs.

Yea our roads are supposed to be worse than yours, ill have to be careful with bumps etc now. Glad you like it.

100mm is the lowest point allowed on cars here, though there are lower points on the car EG my oil breather which is now dragging along on the tarmac. mines at 100mm on a flat surface on the lips. in the next month or so ill do the rear which should bring the front slightly up and even it out, i want to make it look right with no bumpers on the back etc.

Thanks man, your Car decided i would go Blue. It is off the RS model and only the RS model

Dropped the Old Gurl off this morning to the Motor Trimmers
Should be ready this afternoon, should almost finish the interior off like the Muts nuts, just need to stitch up the roof.

Carpets all in not 100% happy, need to get underlay put under the front foot wells and have the boot around the handbrake made. Pictures tomorrow?

Hmmm been a long time since a update.

I have been pretty busy, though i don't know what doing.
Turned 21 a few weeks back, sorta sucked getting the feeling I'm getting old.
Everyone asked what i wanted for my birthday, i never usually ever want anything, but i asked if anyone was to get me anything, money for doing my carpets would be mega Helpful so that's what happen.
I Did all the interior cabin carpets and i am going to sort something for the boot at a later date, after i sort out what I'm going to do in the boot.

Anyways it seems to be pretty lush, and the cabin noise is so much better now.

I also spent money on doing the rubbers in the boot and the Bonnet to stop those nasty Exhaust smells etc.

Car seems to be going pretty sweet, leaking water out of the head plate on the rear of the head, after i sheared a bolt. The motor will be coming out this winter to sort that and the timing cover oil leak, new syncro on 3rd also, as i hate it nicking etc.

Going to sort out a headunit when all the new 2009 Gear comes out, Buy some old stock Going to make up a timber bracket and carpet the hole unit which will replace the current switch panel.
Then i will just do a pair of amped 6x9s in the rear parcel tray.
Though i don't like 6x9s it should work out easily and keep my leg room int he front and no holes in the doors.



Me Taping up some holes, No Not those 48mm Holes, No Filters as i keep Melting the Pipercross ones, i think they get fuel vapors on them and when she back fires when starting from cold they ignite, so yea gonna have to find something different.

New Tunnel Cover, and Shifter boot. The Switch panel will be going as i have a good ignition barrel now, will just mount a new Fuel/Overdrive Bright Arse LED lights under dash somewhere tidy.

she's looking great, too low for my liking but it is your car and you are doing a great job.

I'm still stuck under mine doing the stoneguard, should be spraying it on any day now :(

not going for 4 speakers ?

those kingchrome ratchet spanners look the goods. I was tempted a few weeks ago but held off, money and all that. Yours appear to be, ahem, metric (or did you get the double set ?)

Yea i have to Stonegaurd under the wheel arches, they need it again, the stuff that i used orginally has stuffed out.

What are you using Stu?

Nah i don't want to put anything in the front doors or anywhere up front i like the space with out the parcel tray etc.

I have a very nice 4 channel New Zealand Designed Amplifier that is twice the power of what it is rated at, so ill buy a nice pair of 6x9s that are bi ampable and feed them a solid 120rms which should be more than enough.

Yea Kincrome was a present, it doesn't matter we are metric these days.

I have some vouchers for repco so im going to get the power built Imperial Set

Think i might put my carbs back on and find out why i had to drive home on 2 cylinders a few months back.

You are right, to cold and just no motivation to do anything, summers coming up so i am going to try and get the car up and running again and finish my big brakes off.

I did wack the carbs back on with no floats and linked them up idle set to the lowest point, filled them with gas till they flooded, dried all the flooding fuel out, two pumps of the go peddle and she burst into life, running ruff but def firing on all 4.
That was the end of my night after she back fired and a carb was on fire. Oops :roll: what happens when you put carbs on in 5 minutes or so.

Otherwise boats are in my head, summer and work is good 8)

Well i have booked in to go to my local oldschool.co.nz Car club nationals event that includes a trackday cruises and some drinking.

So i decided that it was time to get the car out of its dusty coat and get a new Warrent and register it again for the road.

So last night i started to change the front lowered shocks and adjustable platforms that aint legal yet as they need to be certified.
I am also putting the ignition back onto the Key Start, off from the Horn button lol.

So my plan is get it legal on the road this weekend, Get my front suspension back on the ground, get to a suspension shop and get the back lowered and stiffen up the rear bushes. Then Get the Wheels re aligned, and finish the other side of the SKS Big brakes setup, and get them fitted in the car and tested up, then i feel a side exit zaust is in order, and then a Certification to get it all legal.

The track day is just a fun, but what things do you recommend i do so i can drive to the track do a god few hard laps then enjoy the rest of the weekend, what could break first, and most likely to?
