Finnnnnaly got around to doing the dash board mold


Also started the rear radiator air inlets
I welded a cage up in the shape im after then filled it with expanding foam

I then cut them back to get around the shape i wanted then a skim of filler


OOOH joy lots of sanding req

Done a bit more on the dashboard mold
Got it ready to make the part in cf

Quite a few bits of carbon going into this 34 in total

Hopefully will be able to make it tommorow,,,

Carbon dash nearly done
got to do a bit of fettling but all seems good

Quite a weight difference
5 and a half bags of suger less to cart around


And a good fit around the rollcage door bars and cross bar



Now onto the centre consol from the dash to the gbox tunnel

Can you mirror it???????

I will be making spares of everything i do eventually
Really need to get the car up and running first

Have done a little more on one side of the rear inlet rad vents
Nearly ready for molding just a bit of polishing

Cant wait to see the finished article love them mods

Been toying with some new kevlar .carbon mix cloth
The difference with this is the kevlar is black,
And very strong.
I like the look may do a roof in this
I have just pulled one of the rear vents out of the mold and i think
it will look good just laquerd,





I have also got my new engine
So all the old hat cosworth stuff will be sold !!!!!!

I wont be on here so much now
I have joined another forum where people are really into modifying cars
I will pop in for an update now and again when i get the time,

can you tell us which forum, so we can continue to follow the build?

Please don't stop posting! Or if you do then I also would love to know what forum so I can still follow your incredible building skills! If this car Is half as cool as alg1k when it's finished then it will be inctedible! Keep up the good work mate!

totally agree there mate,.
such a mad/fab project i cant describe in words what i need 2 say abt this, in easy words i feckin love it and as jealous as they come

I am afraid that this is what is going to happen from now on on this forum, people just read and cannot be bothered to respond with an reply. I noted an example being a recent topic that I put (and monitored) in the General section has 107 viewings with only two replies.

It's your forum folks, if you don't put anything into it then you cannot expect the author to be motivated to update or add future postings.

I don't blame DF for doing this, I can see more doing the same.

The answer lies in your own hands - if you do not respond then don't expect there to be anything there in the future for you to respond too - FACT!
