The interior is a mixture of exposed wires, broken seats, unstuck carpet and dust from sanding. It is scruffier than a very scruffy thing and I am embarassed driving it around. However, if it is not raining, I will still try and come because it is driveable and it gives you guys a chance to laugh at the car!
Bring it anyway! Half-finished cars are just as interesting to see as well as fully finished ones, my 1500HL is missing all front bolt-on parts, so it's going to be a rush to fit them tomorrow evening

Yeah, c'mon bring it along. It'll make all of those highly polished St*gs run for cover
I will be in LD now that I found the rotor arm that I removed as an anti-theft device. See you all there. Howard, I was going to ask if you'd put the bits back on yet. How has the paint faired?

It's all back together again, after a slight panic after the front number plate fell off... Luckily I found it again! I'd be gutted if I lost that, it was the original one. Now put on with bolts!
eBay bumper arrived yesterday has just been fitted, so yup, NGU is all ready.

Hiya again Mike, lovely photos. The one of LD in the middle of all of the TR7's looks especially good. The owners were a friendly bunch and they never asked me to move.
Good to see Mike, Lee, Howard, Brian and Merlin100 and wife (apologies 'cos I can't recall your name I do hope someone buys the Russet 1850, it's a really solid looking car).
All in all a really nice day with lovely weather and some cracking cars (I did like the Mk1 2000 saloon). I will post my piccies shortly.
I am afraid that Alastair (alolympic) and I were the (very) late party - I arrived at about 4.15 having put a new master cylinder on the FWD. Nice to see Howard and Al, and to meet Des, who was a lovely bloke.
It made a nice end to the day for me.
The evidence......

Hello.
It turned out to be a very interesting day at the ace cafe Triumph meet today. After doing a night shift I decided impulsively to go along. I originally decided to go in my 2000, but decided to take my Pi at the last minute. My Pi performed great, with no fuel filter changes needed! It was great to meet up with Mike, Ken and Howard. I wished I had picked Jon up on the way to ace, as I didn't realise he was still at home trying to sort a car out to go along.
Here's some shots I took:
I think the Ace would be a good start for the London to Brighton run in August?
Says out loud "Get thee behind me Satan, the BMW is ex police, and must not be converted to a caff racer!"
Must get on e-bay, and look for another one!

Yep that was a nice day for sure, great to meet some of you (Howard , Merlind + wife! , "2500Pi man", and whoever you are with the carmine 1850 with whitewall tyres! ) sorry i'm useless at remembering names . Had a great ride over on my Kawasaki, but after seeing all those lovely Triumphs, i would love to have been driving my sprint home....still won't be long now it's nearly finished.
