Gavin, we need to meet up at some point being quite close. Get rid of that Delco dizzy and fit the Lucas 44D4 as used on the Sprint. Even if you stick with points it will make your life much easier (the points etc are the same as on the 45D4 and you can use the 45D4 rotor arm anc dizzy cap) and you have more options should you wish to fit electronic ignition. I've done this and including a brand new Britpart kit the total cost was just over £40 delivered to my door. The Britpart kit was bought from MM 4x4 and everything else came from a couple of forum members. With electronic ignition you might have to fit a 12v coil and bypass the ballast resistor so it gets the full 12v when running.
