Well, I thought id have the car at least on the road by now. I'm still 'filling n rubbing down, but hopefully I will get it sprayed, vinyl roof fitted and MOT'd in time. Well fingers crossed.

If not I'll have to come down in either the capri or skoda

Does anyone know if under 16s allowed as passengers on the track

Unfortunately a couple of days ago I was driven into whilst in my Sprint. Having being pushed backwards into a tree, the car is almost certainly a write-off, which makes me more upset than I can put into writing. On the upside, my passenger and I were both fine other than a few cuts and bruises. On the downside, I won't be able to make the track day. :(

OK, I'm just about to send off the form to get a space allocated for the club stand. All those who want track passes will have to apply for themselves as no one has come forward with any times, as I requested a couple of weeks ago. There should me enough admission passes to go around though.

I have received the club pack today. I reserved space for 9 cars so I hope you are all going to turn up. :) There are 9 free admission passes. These passes allow 1 adult entry to the site. Admission is £15 on the day (0-16yrs free). Please PM me your details so that I can get the passes sent out asap.

I also have some vouchers for a 'meal deal'. Buy 1 bacon or suasage bap and a coffee or tea for £3.50 (between 7:30-9:00).

Please also PM me if you definitely can't attend.

thanks

Martin

Well, despite all my efforts to get it ready in time for this event, it is ready minus the vinyl roof, but other matters to sort out as unfortunately my father in law passed away so I'm now not going be able to make the trip...

Enjoy the weekend

I wish it had rained. I'm done medium on one side, and rare on the other. It looks quite silly. 8)

What a great day...ish. The sun shone and I got a nice tan...and the track sessions were pretty good as well. :D

We managed to get 5 Dollies on the stand in the end and a Rover 75 and a go faster MK1 Escort. Richard arrived with his MX5 engined Dolly which looked pretty good. I especially liked the wheels & arches and the engine does indeed look as though it was supposed to be there. I'm hoping someone got some pics of the club stand.

Of the Dollies there was Nigel (storeyn) from Taunton, Jason (mha447v) from Caerphilly, Dan's mate, Richard (Mx5 turbo dolly) from Yate (I believe) and myself. Davepoth arrived in his Rover 75 and we were grateful for the aircon at lunchtime.

I had four sessions in all. Have a look at the third one for some sideways action from Richard's mate, Dan, in the Escort.

Session 1

Session 2

Session 3

Session 4

Unfortunately I seized the engine on the last session (as seen/heard in the video). I still had a good day with friends & just like to thank Jason, Dan & his mates for staying on to help me try to get the old track Sprint going again.

I've now got 'til the 14th Sept. (Forge Performance Car Action Day) to get it going again.

Hi Mart, thanks for sharing the videos, much appreciated

Bad luck about your engine, did it start to rattle after your spin? Maybe an oil starvation problem? Hope it’ll not be too serious…. From the vid, the engine was running well, especially so the one-before-last lap where you had a clean racing line, super :!:

One question that comes to mind is the uneven tire wear you had last outing, did it reoccur? And also the limited slip diff doesn’t seem to limit the slip very much… did you investigate this?

Hope to see some more pictures/videos, also from the other Dolomites :-D
