That wasn't the intention. The paint was poor before I started messing with it. In hindsight, I should've left it alone. I was hoping to get it repainted but I decided that an MoT was more important than paint. I narrowed it down to 3 colours (Sienna, Sapphire & Damson) which were correct for the year. I bought a can of Sapphire and Damson and tried them out. My plan is to get some Russett aerosols just to tidy it up until I can do a proper respray. There are a few bodywork issues that need to be addressed before I can do that.
