If we tagged along with TSSC I would feel obliged to join; it just feels a bit like using them on the cheap.
I have personally made an approach to look at joining Craven Old Wheels who were the main organisers of the show we had NDD at last month. I have to say that was a dissapointing turn out also with only two 1300 Dolomites and a Toledo. I know the reasons why a couple couldn't come (broken cars) but if it was venue, date, car not working etc Dave needs feedback to make the best decisions to suit most members or he can only assume members do not want an NDD.
Anyway COWS is a 300 member multi make classic car club, only £12.00 a year, 11 monthly meetings with free coffee and a bickie, talks, runs, shows etc. and a monthly magazine so they may get a new member to socialise more.

That doesn't bother me and I've been going to the meetings for nearly 12 years. I can't see why you'd be bothered if it becomes a joint meeting as you're a TDC member. There are such meetings in other areas.
By the way, the next meeting is tomorrow night. I'll be without Dolomite yet again unless the garage have got the subframe back on and the car MoTd.

Tonight's meeting was a better turnout with me, Bob, Trev, Roger & Kath. The only Dolomite-type car was Roger & Kath's Sapphire 1500TC. There won't be a meeting in August so the next meeting will take place on Tuesday 1st September and after that they will take place every 2 months.

The next meeting is a week on Tuesday (the 1st and the day after the August Bank Holiday but that's how the dates have fallen). I'll be sending out the e-mail. As I've said before, I'm willing to make changes if it helps. I should have my Dolomite back by then.

It was a decent turnout with me, Bob, Trev and Roger (without Kath). I came in my Dolomite which is better than before and is more deserving of the MoT that it was last year. This is the furthest it has been since coming out of the garage. I've decided to keep the meetings every 2 months over the winter months and when the nights get lighter next year, I'll go back to monthly meetings. As always, I'm open to any ideas so I would appreciate some input.
The next meeting will be taking place on the 3rd of November.

I've had an idea to boost attendance.
How about doing exchange visits to other area meetings? It would work in the same ways as the exchange visits from schooldays. We attend another area meeting and in return they would come to ours. I think the Northwest area would be the one to try this out with. Also, I'll get a up to date list of local Club members from Andy P. Maybe some communication from me might help too.

The next meeting will be this coming Tuesday (the 6th). I've got everyone's e-mail adresses so I'll send out an e-mail if I don't forget. I will be with Dolomite at long last!
Yes, I've decided to go back to monthly meetings. I've been doing plenty to my 1850 since I got it back so my enthusiasm has returned.

It was a good turnout with Bob, Trevor, Keith and me. There were some good ideas put forward for next year in terms of shows and Keith still has some routes of previous runs he's done. Bob keeps on mentioning doing things with the Rover 75/MG ZT club (he has the MG ZT) so I'm going to join their forum so I can organize stuff with them.
The next meeting will take place on the 3rd of November. I'll be sending an email nearer to the time.

I forgot to mention that we also discussed having stainless exhausts mad for the Club. Bob knows of a couple of places who could provide a reasonable quote. This is something we need to follow up.

Dave you've misunderstood what I was suggesting. It wasn't to join in with the 75 MGZT club but look into doing the sorts of things they do i.e. Meets at country parks, museums, pubs, shows etc.

I think it would be a good idea to do a few shows together but I like your idea (now I know what you meant!). I saw that one you took your Dolly to near to where we had NDD.
Sorry for the confuision!
