Re: Problem setting brakes
Might be a dumb suggestion, but does handbrake work? I would have thought if the brake shoes were incorrectly setup, the handbrake wouldn't engage properly. Though more experienced members will probably tell me I'm wrong.
Re: Problem setting brakes
Hi everyone,
After re-bleeding the brakes with an easybleed system thing, I though I had it better, i did but by pressing the brake pedal, I could feel it very slowly going down. I have one of the new pipes leaking at the master cylinder connection...
Is there a trick to solve this? The pipe being new if I tighten/untighten a few times will it squeeze unto the right shape, I don't want to tighten to much and mess up the thread.
What are the options? Do I have to do the pipe, again?

Re: Problem setting brakes
The pipe should seal without too much pressure on the union nut.
If it doesn't then the flare on the pipe is probably cracked and will never seal.
New pipe and rebleed sadly....
With the dual master you need only bleed the circuit this pipe is on, front or back.

Re: Problem setting brakes
I found when replacing the rear cylinders on my old 1500HL a few years ago that the manufacturer was packaging 3/8 rear cylinders in boxes for 5/8 cylinders.. They're identical looking so measure the piston!

Hi,
I think I have managed to finally get no leaks by fiddling with the pipe (it really was a tiny one, had to put tissue to absorb the liquid to actually visualise it).
Howard, do you know how long the piston supposed to be?
