Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
My 1500HL measures approx. 350mm from the wheel centre to the lip of the wing. It is all standard. Hope this helps.

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
The OHV cars always seem to have this "nose up" stance, with what can only be described as an excessive front wheel arch gap. It's nothing to get excited about!
You'll be lucky to find pre owned ASP shox, they do show up every other blue moon but most folk won't go back to standard from them. Gaz (IMHO) are the best and usually the cheapest. Not cheap but usually cheaper than the other makes, AVO/Spax/Koni etc

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
Thanks all for the help.
I think I’m just going to bite the bullet & get some GAZ height & damping adjustable front shocks. I have spoken to rimmers & they will price match them to Gaz’s website price which means the pair work out at £150 + vat which is pretty good.
It also means I can get it sitting perfectly once the Sprint wheels are on!

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
Definitely something wrong somewhere. My front height measures at 400mm from centre of wheel to arch & on the rear measures about 320mm.
Will have to do some investigating when I get chance,
Surely even if the bushes have been tightened with the wheeels off the ground it wouldn’t cause this much arch gap? Or do we think it’s the read being too low has caused the front to raise?
Pics below.

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
So I just bit the bullet & ordered a pair of GAZ height & damping adjustable front
Shocks. Rimmers price matched them so got the pair for £150!!
Hopefully should cure my problem of the front height. However I still think the rear is sat to low. But will need to look into that further.

Sounds cheap as chips that, considering a full set of Gaz shocks and springs cost me £490 from Rimmers with a hefty discount!

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
The GAZ front height & damping adjustable front dampers arrived today so will be getting those fitted with the original springs as soon as I can.
I also plan to fit GAZ rear dampers when funds allow.
I also received today a full set of Sprint wheel nuts so I will start to refurb my Sprint wheels next week and then get some new 175/70/13 tyres ordered.
Lots of updates soon hopefully.

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
Got back off holiday this afternoon & had a spare few hours. Thought I would get the front shocks fitted (the other half wasn’t too pleased)
Safe to say I’m over the moon with the results. The height & damping will need to be adjusted once the shocks have settled & once I have the sprint wheels fitted.

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
A bit of a step backwards tonight - thought I would test fit my sprint wheels.... all was going well, until I got the 7/16 original sprint wheel nuts out the box & found they don’t fit!!!
Had a look at my original nuts and they have 3/8-24 stamped on them?
Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct nuts I need for my sprint wheels.

Your's being a 1500HL will have 3/8" studs. It was only the later Sprints that had 7/16" studs.

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
So I contacted Rimmers & they were happy to price match ‘Wins’ price of £65 for a full set of 3/8 steel Sprint wheel nuts so I have them on order.
I managed to get the front suspension set up today & sorted out the messy headlight wiring so it’s much neater now.
Can’t wait to get the Sprint wheels on soon. The 1500 wheels look lost in the arches!!

Re: NAB 755T Dolly 1500HL Project
So unfortunately snow has stopped play! However managed to get out for a run last Sunday!

I have also ordered a set of 3/8 steel sprint wheel nuts so I can finally get them fitted (once tyres are ordered and wheels refurbed)
And just a little note in regards to Rimmer Brothers, I cannot fault their service at all. They have been completely faultless with everything I’ve ordered. Their delivery is extremely quick, and all of the larger items I have purchased (shockers & wheel nuts etc) they have price matched to other sites without quibble.

Latest update -
I have now received my steel 3/8 sprint wheel nuts, So went to test fit the wheels last night. Bolted the fronts on and all looks good. However at the rear they dont seem to tighten up? I've got the wheel nuts done up tight but the wheel is still loose and rocks about.
I've not looked into it yet but i think the rear studs must be too long? I will investigate more tonight, has anyone else come across this?
