My mate Paul from Hull bought it last year and it has languished in my garage since. Due to illness (Paul's not mine) and an impending move to France, it is now once again for sale, back on SU's (as we got it) and we have found some steel front panelling that is usable with a little work! OIRO £4k.

I'd love to take it on, but the 2 Triumphs I already own occupy all the spare time/money/space I have!

Myself (and my 11year old son who I bought it for as a project) now own YGD, and she's now proudly sitting atop my trailer after collecting her today from Steve..
Would love to know more re the engine etc, was the bottom end actually done in the end?

Hi Mike. I owned YGD for 30 years before selling her to James when I moved to Perth Western Australia.
I have just this week re activated my account on the forum due to my recent purchase of a very tidy 1976 1850 dolomite. More on that on my page.
As far as YGD goes, I completely rebuilt the engine some years ago, ran it in for approximately 1500 miles and then the car was taken off the road. Unless James carried out a bottom end rebuild while he had it I would suggest it is still on the same bearings that I fitted, and in all the years that have passed it has still only covered 1500 miles.
Let me know how you progress, I will be watching on. Any questions about the car just give me a shout.
David
