Police defo pursuing no insurance but asked if they were going to do him for due care and attention for not stopping at a red light. The look and no reply I got was so obvious that was too much paperwork. He wont go to court probable already back in Czech Republic now or on the way.

Insurance pushing to write it off. Today they wanted all the details of my bank log book etc and discuss a settlement figure, but I told them the body damage was easily repairable, the main issues would be the drive shaft suspension and steering. Told her a friend who was a motor engineer had said that it would end up auctioned off and back on the road. Suddenly a change, engineer will get in touch over the next few days to give it the once over.

I've not had chance to check out the other venue so unless you hear differently, the next meeting will be at the Britannia. Bob, if you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all. What an absolute bummer. I understand why you're loath to take the Dolly there so that's fine.

Time to get my finger out and sort it. I'm planning on going to the Gotts Park Golf Club on my way home from work today. I would've called in yesterday but I had to get a part from the dealer for the daily driver before it closed. I'll be sending out my usual e-mail as the next meeting is only a week away.

Oh feck! I've just realized! I was going to send out my e-mail tonight.

It doesn't get any better. I called in at Gotts Park Golf Club and there was a mention of a charge. I said we wouldn't want to book a room as there's only half a dozen of us. I've left my name and number because the manager wasn't there. Other that that, it has everything else going for it. We might be stuck with the Britannia. I'm not a happy bunny over this situation. I'm seriously considering suspending the meetings until we have a decent venue that suits our needs.

I'm open to suggestions for other places.

Tonight's meeting has been cancelled. I've rung round everyone to let them know. The feeling I get is that the Britannia isn't really suitable for us so I've suspended the meetings until another venue is found.

I've had a phone call from Keith the day before NDD about starting the meetings again and I also had a call from Bob about it earlier on tonight. In light of these conversations, I've decided to start the meetings again. I've decided on having them at the Old Brickworks in Drighlington. I held the meetings there when I was the West Yorkshire AO for Club Triumph. One very good point that both Keith and Bob made was that we don't need to ask if we can hold our meetings there. We just turn up. A far as anyone else is concerned, we're just a bunch of mates who are going to the pub. It is a Brewers Fayre pub which also does food so we can have a bite to eat if we so wished. There is also a Premier Inn round the back. It has a decent sized car park so there shouldn't be a repeat of what happened to Bob at the Britannia. It is situated close to junction 27 of the M62 and is in a central location in the county. The address is:

Wakefield Road
Drighlington
Bradford
BD11 1EA

I will let Steve W. know the new venue so he can put it in the next issue of the magazine. I'm unable to access my e-mail any more so I've got a new e-mail address which I will let Steve know about. I'll also be updating my sig below in due course. The next meeting will be taking place on Wednesday 7th August at 8.00pm and I will be able to make it (most likely in the BMW).

7th could be tricky for me, but that venue is closer so I'll try and make it over!

Hope you can make it Sam. I'm away on holiday the week before so I will be able to make the meeting. I can no longer access my e-mails so I've had to get a new e-mail address.

It was a decent turnout with me, Trev, Bob, Keith, Roger & Kath. The pub was fairly busy with food still being served.

The next meeting will be on the 4th of September.

It was a decent turnout with me, Bob, Trev & Keith. The pub was quieter than last time due to there no food being served.

The next meeting will be on the 2nd of October.
