I have spoken to Lynn Bateman this week and she is still trying to organize things, but 'the show will go on'.
I will be travelling up the night beforehand with the fwd on a trailer so no pressure to get there without breaking down or indeed to get it all back together afterwards, the car is now 'off the road' as i am planning a full restro over the winter, it is a non runner now due to most of the main bits that make it go have been removed but with the bonnett shut no one woukd know
So we have the Hippymobile with a suspension rebuild? And...... don't hear/see any other deffo's other than ??the Triumphworld Tolly and Naths 1300FWD. Is that right?
Right then, time's marching on so I guess we (I) should pull my finger out and do something.
IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW...
Aside from just bringing a car, anybody who is willing to help on the day (and not just with fixing cars, we need a couple of peeps to man the club stand with dolly mixtures, membership etc.)
please send a PM to me or email TDCevents@gmail.com with your email address so we can get an idea of numbers, and from there figure out what we can/should do.
The show has usually wound up by 4pm...but last time I left at about 8pm having just gone for the morning session!
If you stay at the site, be warned, their budget accomodation is very budget! Narrow beds fixed to the walls, no facilities, vending machine and microwave breakfast. I'd try to get B&B in one of the local towns in preference...
People who have currently expressed interest in being there are:
Me
Ken
Justyn
Jeff
Ceri
Dave
which is about 60% there in terms of people I reckon. And we still really need a second confirmed Dolly for doing something impressive to. Anyone else up for it?
