Well I'll be bringing Dave, who's quite happy to talk to anyone about anything :D . He's quite happy to fix my Molly, but isn't that interested in talking "Triumphs" all night :snooze: :!:

Get Together...

#34 Post by mbellinger »

Been doing a bit of jiggery pokery and reckon I'll be making the trip. Will be in the FWD provided it behaves.

If someone could PM me with a mobile number it would be handy as I have no idea where the place is and am almost guaranteed to get lost!

Cannot resist one last outing before Chrimbo. Trust we are still talking 5.00pm ish?

Sunday

#38 Post by mbellinger »

Thanks for the PM Justyn.

Weather for Sunday looks horrendous, but will still be giving it a go provided no unforseen obstacles get in the way.

See you then.

Ditto :D .

Great to meet up with some new faces and the old ones .

A bravery (or totally mad) award must go to Martin, for battling the very high winds and torrential rain from Bromley to Portsmouth in his 1300 FWD :!: . Well done Martin. Hope you've got home okay.

Merry Christmas to everyone :) .

No nothing to do with the x reg one. I have BIGGER plans than that.
Sarah just ignores me now when i mention cars for sale. :D
As long as i pay for her driving lessons/test and she has a car to drive that will keep her happy for a few weeks.

Good to meet you all and put some faces to names/usernames - hopefully next time I'll turn up in my own car, rather than my housemate's leaking spitfire....

Merry Christmas all!

Lunatic? Moi?

Many thanks to all you guys for your hospitality yesterday evening. It was really nice to spend some time with you all talking Dolly's, and especially putting some more faces to names.

The weather was (as predicted) awful and goading PKO along with one speed wipers and candlepower lights was character building to say the least, but I would not have missed the evening.

The journey back was fractionally less inclement, as the rain eased from stair rod to mere downpour ferocity. Must have had the wind behind though, as I manged the return leg in 1 hour 36 minutes. The old girl sat happily at 85-90 elephants all the way back up the motorway, but I was a little tired when I got back....

Thanks again chaps for a really enjoyable time.
Martin.
