Please tell me it's a complete clutch, and not just the friction plate ?... I've got 2 new 1850 friction plates sat in my garage ! Been wanting to 'play' with another 1850 for ages.

Spent tonight replacing a 'shot' upper ball-joint (MoT man gave it an advisory) on Tara, and a final 'once over' in readiness for Saturday. Left the battery on trickle charge (it was as dead as a dodo ?!); should be ready to go, tomorrow. Another quick run tomorrow night, just to make sure nothing else has come adrift; then, get her loaded up with all the usual track day 'ballast' for Saturday. I'm almost excited
The last time it was done it just had a friction plate. That was 10 years ago. I thought it would be a good idea to do the whole thing.

Right, all fluids checked (including 50 quids worth of fuel...ouch!), all tools and other sundry items accounted for & passes all filled in (don't forget your driving licences).

Weather ordered, dry & not too hot.

Chris & I will be there around 8:00am.

No, Jon; but, that could be arranged for a nominal fee :bash:

Don't want to spoil the surprise; suffice to say it's sticky :?:

What a great day we all had. :D The sun shone all day & no break downs. Lots of lovely old classic cars being driven spiritedly. I particularly liked the A35 which had a 16v badge on the back, not sure what engine was in it but it didn't half shift. The Swarm put on a good show and Jon (Trackerjack) & I had a great battle in one session.

I was going to make the same joke I did about playing with a lovely pair of Bristols, but it's in bad taste. :D

I tried to load some vids one of which Diane overtakes a Bristol, so there has to be a joke there!
Chris had found some stickers to match the swarm, thanks mate, his wife radiant as most preggie ladies look, so Chris filled poor Sams face with exhaust fumes :? sure you are not Australian mate
Diane and I had a fantastic day my first session I was overtaking everything and not one single car passed me..............then the session was stopped suddenly and I almost went into the back of the cars around us, on the restart I was at the front and stayed there with not a single passing car, never before has this happened :D
A brilliant scrap with Mad Mart with us swopping places and passing loads of much faster cars as an Aston Martin! and not one but two Sierra Cossies.

As mentioned videos to follow.

Thanks for the organising Mart, well done that man.
Jon & Diane

Seconded.

As for filling the wife's face with exhaust fumes; I don't think that in itself bothered her so much; but, the black spatters weren't well received  .... you'd be amazed at some of the smells (vehicle related, before anyone starts !) that she currently 'gets off' on

Here is the view from my car of Mart and I storming through the lesser vehicles like Aston Martin and suchlike the white GTI Golf was a little problem and sadly my video ran out as I was about to pass the Cossie which dramatically slowed together with a Fiat turbo coupe which had just passed and seemed to have engine problems, forcing me to a crawl at Quarrry and letting Mart close up again. This was one of my favourite of all time sessions cos our Sprints sure kicked some ass.

That looked like a fairly manic session, everyone was really close together. I was underneath my rusty 1850 swearing by that point. I'm still aiming to have it done for Sunday though.

That was a great session Jon probably on a par with the one at Silverstone. That Golf was breaking incredibly early into the corners & caught me out a couple of times (that's how you managed to pass me. ). Can't wait 'til Chris gets his Tolly Sprint on the track...and Dave's Sprint.
