Just make sure you are insured (you can pick up one day policies for about £15 on the internet if you don't have "other cars" on your policy). If mine wasn't in several hundred pieces and at the opposite end of the country I wouldn't mind at all.

Well having two MAY be an option but a wee bit OTT!! We already have modern car and I have access to Another so to suddenly have three cars would be rather exhuberant!! However we did have a wee conversation regarding having two so I suppose........

As for "test driving" would I not be considered a tyre kicker? Would any of you guys let me drive your pride and joy?!? Of course it would be better to get a shot of a car before I decide but can't imagine getting many go's. Am I getting a bit fastidious about all this? Maybe my hangover kicking in<alkaseltsersmilies> Best go eat something..........

It's the only way to make an informed decision. Cars are for driving, so there's no point having something that you like the look of, but find imposible to drive.

Well, I got my car back in November and hopefully, he got his today!

Mines a Ford - his a Triumph dolly sprint.

My main issue just now is the sex of the car! I reckon male but he's calling it female. I'm not sure I want to share him with another woman. Surely a brown car has gotta be male??

PS do any west of Scotland members ever have a "meet"? Really enjoy our Ford club for making pals and swapping advice.

Well there's a thing now! FWIW, mine (Dougie) is very, very brown but this wasn't instrumental in deciding his gender identity, my last one was called Dougie too and I have a great forgetory!

My brown car is female I'm afraid - can't help it, from day one I started calling her 'she'! I reckon it depends on their personality and looks, just whatever feels right!
