Happy with how it is, it is very drivable, you don't have to rev the nuts of it to get going but flooring it at 4000rpm you certainly get down the road.

48's maybe a bit over the top but they sound great!

Plugs are a lovely beige/brown so definitely not running rich.

Anyway I am happy with it, 142BHP at the wheels about 185BHP at the fly wheel according to Tom Airey.

Then i would check your gearbox and final drive......

142hp on the wheels would be 155 at the flywheel.

Tom Airey reckons you get 28% loss through the drive train so that is how he arrived at 185, I suppose the only accurate figure is the one measured at the wheels.

It is what it is, I am not that bothered, it is now driving really well & goes like a rocket.

I thought I asked you on this thread a while ago about the wheels but I can't find the post. What wheels are they, what ET and J rating and what tyres? Oh and what wheel nuts? I'm looking at options for mine at the moment.

I bought the wheels about 15 years ago, they are made by KN and are called Minator, I am pretty sure they are 5.5j and the offset is 22, they are 15". The rear wheels had another 3mm machined off the hub so they don't rub the rear arches, which have had the lip completely removed.

I think they can also supply the wheel nuts which are steel with a large flat washer.

I have been a bit naughty as I pinched the picture off another forum of someone who attended the show and took this great picture. I guess I would need to contact them to use it in the magazine, Im sure they wouldn't mind but I dont know how copyright works?

I don't know what sort of filter or setting they have used but the car just looks great.

Edit: I have contacted the lady who took the picture, she was thrilled I thought it was so good. She is going to email the original files & has no problem the photos being used!

It's definitely convinced me to leave most of the chrome off mine after it's been welded up/sprayed. I was concerned the gutter may look weird without it, but if anything it looks better (certainly compared to 30something year old scuffed up metal)..
