Spring compressors, not the best of brands, but reassuring in use.

Still have to do the fronts, but that will have to wait a couple of months,
should anyone be in need, more than welcome to collect and borrow,

Damn, the pie cluster demist bulb has just gone

All these years and I didn't know there was a rubber gaitor available to reduce the noise level.

Gaiter should be held to the tunnel with a "unique to Sprint" clamping wring with 4 self taping screws that
should but almost never do line up with the plastic spire nut thingies in the tunnel, which may also be missing
having fallen out.
Does make a HUGE difference to gearbox noise and refinement - gets rid of all the whining and hissing.

I've used No.8 1/2" screws with a washer to fix the gaitor for now, will look for the ring.
Luckily the plastic captive nuts are all in place, covered with glue, but present.
Test will be on Sunday to see if the noise levels are down, but first still have to
Screw down tunnell,
Fix overdrive switch crimp which broke this morning,
Install front and tunnell carpets,
Install front shelf,
Oil and filter change,
Replace hoses,
Obtain one more rear tyre,
Lower car and tighten up suspension bolts,
Check water level, (water pump was still weeping)
Resolve accelerator pedal lateral movement,
Check and top up C&B fluid,
Clean out fuse box contacts,
Replace indicator bulbs,
Check and top up axle oil,
Put grommets in the bulkhead to stop incoming water,
Front door speaker leads,
Wash car,
Empty out boot and re-stock with essentials (Jack, water, tools),
Tidy up power cables,
Fix screen wash motor,
Re-fit rear seats,
Screw down front seats,
Wipe interior of car, (the dust from the vents is getting annoying)
Stick down led power regulators,
Fit new rear view mirror stem,
Boot rubber seal,
Bonnet rubber seal,
Unfortunately at work on Saturday, so this evening it is, and tomorrow morning at 5am.
The central locking, ign linked relay and 6 way fuse box, electric aerial, usb power sockets, and the rest will have
to wait till next week.

Stag or 2000 manual clamping ring works Ok, and these are still available from the usual suspects

Drained the oil out yesterday afternoon, however a mistake with the oil filter cover meant I lost 4.5l of castrol 20/50.
I didn't notice till around 8pm yesterday, luckily only within a minute of starting the engine, had to fill up with a cheap oil, will change again in a few weeks.
But all is well now, been to stonleigh and back, the car seemed to get better with some miles, so I have my excuse now for evening excursions

I found that now allowing my wife in the car does the same thing.......

Unfortunately did not get time to give it a wash first, probably the
most dust laden vehicle at the show.

Use one of the waterless wash and wax products, excellent.

I've been using the BBC weather app, works good,
Shampoo the car an hour before the rain is expected, and then leave to rinse,
when the rain stops, dry and buff.
