Mmmm deleting posts on a forum usually means he wants to keep it a secret and under the tarp, or he got p155 off at the forum and left and took his tales with him.

Darren had some super sweet posts though

I'm pretty sure it's only his posts on page 2 of this thread that are gone. We will find out soon I'm sure.

One little update
I had some inconel bends turn up from america the other day

as i had a new turbo earlier in the year, the old alg1ks design of exhaust manifold is not compatable with the new turbo .
so i had to fabricate a new manifold which i have only ever done one
which was a straight forward design unlike this one as its a split pulse turbo i now have
as the turbo is so big you need all the help you can get making it spool up early
I was a bit hessitant to cut this steel up as it is SO dam expensive
I measured 3 times then cut LOL
This turbo should be on song at around 5000 rpm
here are some pickys in no partic order

The nearly finished article

I have to tig weld it up and fabricate the waste gate pipe
Image
Just shuts Lol
Image
I have also made a new air filter box which seals againt the bonnet when shut
it houses a 8 inch dia by 14 inch long filter which should flow enough air
Image

I have also fabricated a new intercooler this is again an american core from garratt
I fabricated the end tanks and 3" pipes and it fits quite well

These are just a few photos of the 100s i have taken
I will put some more up when i get five min
I want to get all the fabrication out of the way before i start on the body work. :D

You'll be needing that 'air tow' pretty soon by the looks of it!!!

Sounds good if your car will do 200 mph and stop in the confines of bruntingthorpe 1.5 miles :D

Hello, very much respect for your project and your work. For me it is not a real Dolomite anymore. The challenge for me is have the most out of the original concept.

However it is good to see you are putting all this time and effort into a Dolomite and not an Escort or so.
Can't wait to see it on youtube.

For me I'm not bothered about the authentisty of the car
to the common man out on the road when you annialate a lambo , Porsche , Ferrari, skyline, and several evos etc etc
to them it's still a Dolomite and it's that what I like,
I like to think that what I have done is what Mitsubishi have done
and that's EVO it :-)
Getting the most out of the original design is nice but quite a few new diesels
that retun 40 odd mpg would show you the way these days :-)
if I was going to have a nice original car it would be a V8 soft top of some sort
I do like the TR8 ;-) but if I could keep away from the LS1Twin turbo engine that would have to bee seen LOL
