Only 5 confirmed at the moment and no firm decision on the project(s)
More interest needed...

OK, six confirmed names so far: Mad Mart, Dave Poth, Stewart (Covcourier), Steve Wilkes, Tom Overton & myself
I have decided for continuity sake one project car will be the white Sprint reshell that has appeared twice before. It will receive during the show GRP front wings and front outer panel whilst clutch and brake hydraulics are sorted out, transmission tunnel replaced and a cill replaced. It will act as a showcase for the parts we as a Club have developed and remanufactured and hopefully will result in a prize of some description, whilst showing just how easily these panels can be fitted.
If the number of volunteers increases to sufficient bodies, the second car could be one of several suggestions so far, but as ever, THE OWNER OF THE CAR TO BE WORKED ON MUST BE PRESENT ON THE STAND WITH SLEEVES ROLLED, WORKING.
Stewart is looking for a 1500 replacement engine for his SE, if that can be facilitated it is favourite on the list of options.

So no chance of the club helping out someone who, through no fault of their own, isn't currently up to that then?

Shame, as it would only be a quick brake reline (F&R), oil & filter change, application of some more Ensis V and new grilles to go in.

We did someone a 'favour' a few years ago which resulted in much manpower improving a car to MoT standard requirements. Unfortunately, that car had a valuable plate which was transferred after the MoT pass and the car then broken on eBay. We were a bit aggrieved!
Saying that, it wasn't a Club member, so perhaps I'll revise the earlier statement to '...BEING ON THE STAND WITH US EVEN IF THEIR CONTRIBUTION IS THE VERY VALUABLE ROLE OF MAKING DRINKS, SELLING REGALIA, MEMBERSHIPS, ANSWERING QUESTIONS etc etc'

me and danny should be there but have no babysitter so we will have to work round george and it can be abit chilly and smelly petrol fumes etc , so we may be on and off the stand abit but at least the regalia will be there and we can make a brew for everyone

That's the spirit, get him used to it when he's young!

That is the reason why earlier in this thread I stated that the car must belong to a fully paid up club member.

I've been wanting to go to this show for years, but every time something goes wrong! I'm determined to get there this year!
It's a shame I can't get my Tolly there as that'll keep everyone busy for the day! LOL!
Fingers crossed I'll see some of you there!
Ian.

That's better, 8 'technical' volunteers confirmed and one probable, 3 'sales and marketing' executives on rotation

I am hoping to be there (as a visitor). Four spare seats and room for purchases if anyone wants to share a lift from the Basingstoke area.
