Trust you to pipe up!
I'm going to start building another engine tomorrow, I highly doubt it will be ready in time however. If the next one breaks it will be getting a Redtop, Duratec, 4AGE or F20C.

I am just worried that the new prop for my spitfire isn't here yet.
Ordered 2 1/2 weeks ago, apparently they had to get some flanges made! but it should be here today, fit tomorrow and test the new diff/shafts then MoT Monday, a service if I have time and stick some fuel in it. What could possibly go wrong?
Backup is the Toledo, but that has done only a few hundred miles with the "new" drivetrain, and the suspension is too high at the front by 2" (odd, as it was lower with the OHV engine, or maybe i was imagining that)
Back to the day, I see there is breakfast on offer. Any good?
Tea available during the day?
You can see what my priorities are!

Good luck with getting it all done Clive! if its any consolation I've still yet to change my rear shock for a new one, fit the exhaust and get it MOT'd!!
They usually have bacon sandwiches being handed out when you first get there which isn't half bad- they do breakfasts but never had one so can't comment. Tea however they definitely do!

Thanks! I can rest easy. Well, once the spit is done.
Just regretting the way I fitted the rear callipers, all a faff and my eyesight has got worse since I originally did it...

Oil and filter changed - check!
New non leaking fuel pressure regulator - check!
Rear brake self adjusters reset - check!
New MoT with no advisories - check!
All I need now is some nice weather to apply some wax!
No nasty surprises is the free gift that comes with a car which is used frequently! (and has a Vauxhall engine)

Steve we all know how insane your Vauxhall engine is you dont need to remind us every year.
Hopefully i will get some track time in tomorrow at the Spring action day and see if mine blows up.

How did it go Dan? Hope you have better luck than last year.
I'll be near the back as I have done nothing to improve my suspension set up which has quite a bit of under steer. That's if I get through noise... . I am always nervous of pushing too hard as well.
Just hope to have some fun and get me and the car home in one piece.

I've just got back from the MoT station and the Track Sprint flew through the Mot test.

To be fair though I only had one outing to the Combe last year so probably hundred or so miles tops since the last MoT test. So after the engine rebuild about eight months ago, I fitted four new Yoko A 539s and put new brake pads on at the weekend.

I was seriously considering those tyres Mart as i can get them cheap through work. It'll be interesting to see what they're like.

Bit of a request about Tuesday....
I am taking my daughter (Molly) along. However, as I would consider myself a bit of a novice at trackday stuff, I am hoping that she may be able to get a session or two with other more experienced drivers.
I should add she is 18, small and handily light! Well housetrained too
Cheers
Clive

Brilliant! I am sure she would enjoy a few laps with somebody who knows how to pedal....
