The roads around here are so busy that making progress stopped being a safe option on them years ago.
To be honest I do feel like I missed out, must have been more fun 40 years ago with clear roads and not lane to lane traffic.

But there ARE still places where you can have fun in England. I am sufficiently blessed to live in one of them!
I was born and raised in London, but every time I have to go there, I thank God I don't have to live there any more! I surely couldn't live with the 24/7 traffic and omnipresent cameras!

It's funny how the indicators of german cars work in Germany, but not over here And like Steve and others have said driving in London is every man for himself. It's the same when i travel back to Manchester (where i originate from) you have to change your driving style from rural.......To bloody hell fire. There are a lot of "richard heads" on the road unfortunatly. I do remember my driving instructor warning me of one of the biggest dangers on the road was, any driver wearing a flat cap, large overcoat and smoking a pipe, it's the same today although without the pipe......

Oi!!! I've several German cars and I'll have you know the first thing I always do when I buy a German car is change ALL the indicator bulbs to UK spec bulbs so they all work perfectly on my German cars

Oi!! to you as well Steve I have a VW as my modern, but i am paranoid that the indicators dont work as "most" of the other German ones dont (is that better?). Hope to catch up with you in new year
