Looks Ok that. You'll be conscious of not pulling on the handle now while winding it

I'm ok for handles at the moment, was the Omega central locking individual electric solenoids or BMW type with a central air pump, just curious.
Door grommets can be a pain, door side easy, frame not so.

The Omega system is all individual solenoids, though I probably won't use them, the 1500HL I am breaking has CL fitted and I will be using those bits since they fit the car, their loom is however, a bit primitive to say the least!
The grommets are easy enough to fit on both sides if the doors are off (as mine are). A bit of thought can have the pillar holes lined up with a pre-existing hole in the inner pillar. I just need to find some electric heated door mirrors that fit in the Dolomite location to make full use of the front door looms! Or is that overkill?

It's never overkill for gadgets, my 7 series has
heated mirrors but a good feature is dimming
linked to a sensor in the rear view mirror, works
very well and was also used in some older 5 series.
You may have to change the casing to match, or
better yet make up a bespoke design.

Window handle saga coming to an end, fitted the modded one to the drivers door all ok, but the passenger handle
knob is more cosmetic than functional,

Had one of these in the loft, (Unipart 621768) very unlikely they are available anymore

I know window handles are boring and not very technical,
but sharing (the boredom) helps

Still got water coming into the front footwells, more so the drivers side,
So took the dashboard off to have a better look,

and as it was out, I took it indoors to give a good clean up of the cable
connections and tighten up all the gauge holders and clean the bulbs.
Sod decided that during the cleaning process, some of the black should
come off, which resulted in me doing the rest,

I also took the lens off the gauges for a thorough clean, and noticed
they are all glass ( I have the finger cuts to prove ) except the speedo
which is plastic ?

That looks nice Mahesh. I'll be interested what you find regarding the water leak, have the same issue with my car. I found the bulkhead had rotted through on the passenger side behind the glovebox so I tried a temporary fix of filling it with Plastic Padding, alas the footwell still fills with water when it rains...

And the only way to have the black of the bezel of the German kienzle clock is to sandblast.

As you have the dash out and you love radio speakers you can fit these. They do fit exactly without any modification. I only did glue the knob on top of it for the looks.

Nice

, but my speakers are sorted now, I have a 600w subwoofer to go in, but in truth it would be drowned out by the four speakers.
Also I need the vents, my heater blower is only giving heat

Guages look nice shiny. How did you remove the black?

I did use white spirit/paint solvent. Just take off the bezel and wipe the black off. You can use some coarse polish but that takes longer and more danger to scratches.
