OK, ten passes arrived in the post this morning, this is the Club's full allocation.

Based on the order of volunteering I have allocated these to:

Me
Martin Stone
Dave Poth
Stewart (covcourier)
Steve Wilkes
Tom Overton
Terry (topfuel)
Howard
Ianf99
Danny & Janette

Tony McK has sent his apologies as he can no longer make it.

If any of the above can no longer make the Show either, or indeed the rendezvous below please let me know ASAP. I will change your colour from red to green as you confirm attendance. Any red tickets left on Thursday evening will be reallocated to a contingency list

The rendezvous this year will be the service station on the A46 northbound shortly after joining from the M40 on the basis that most folk are coming from the south and west directions. The passes only allow admittance up until 9am so we need to be gathered and ready to move by 8am

We are on stand 'Club 4' which measures 10m x 8m so we can get two cars on to be worked on (and possibly Mart's as a 'finished article' example anticipating the request)

So far, only the one car is confirmed, this will have existing residual wings and front panel stripped, new GRP panels fitted, new brake pipes throughout and bled, clutch hydraulics attended to, transmission tunnel replaced and work to replace a cill. The idea is to promote items which help to make the Club as self sufficient as possible.

Late suggestions for the other car still welcome; Stewart, did you source an engine for your SE?

Howard; could you get your 1500 there?

Tools & Equipment needed for car 1:

Trolley Jack
Axle stands
Workmate(s) and trestles (trestles:TO)
Electric Drill (TO)
Grinder (TO)
Weld removers
Cold chisel
Dremel (AN)
Extension cables
Flaring tool (TF)
Spanners (TO)
Mole grips, lots of them (AN x 3, + DP x ? , + _ _ x _, + _ _ x _ )
MIG welder (SW)
Welding Screen
Fire Extinguisher (AN)
First Aid Kit

Also kettle, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, folding table, plastic cups, toaster and bread? (Stewart)

Please make sure your own tools and equipment are easily identifyable. Please let me know what you are bringing with you off the above list.

There are 5 vehicle passes which get us up to the door of the halls, obviously these will be prioritised for the display cars and tow cars, all other cars will need to park in public areas.

Contingency list for tickets:

1:Jeff Lane
2:Mike C
3:
4:
5:

Anything else?

I'm still attending. I wasn't planning on bringing THJ though, but if you don't have another car for the stand then I can bring it along. Is that the BP garage for the rendezvous?
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

Its not the usual rendezvous which would entail most of us going north to then come south again, its literally the first building on LHS after leaving the M40 on the A46 northbound; it could well be BP but I can't be sure.

Sadly not, as getting it to Coventry without an MoT would prove rather tricky :(

But I can be there in my Sprint to help out :)

I've been looking at your post for ages trying to figure out why I was still in red. I'm definitely coming, I'll bring all the mole grips I can find.

Congratulations to all those involved in the stand today.

It looked good, lots going on and plenty of noise. Drew a lot of interest in the work and the club. It shows we can match, and beat, the big clubs at putting on a display even without the big banners etc.

First Prize for the stand as well, brilliant.

Problem is TDC now have a name for doing mad things at the Restoration Show. At the Standard Triumph Forum yesterdy several people commented on the clubs restoration work at previous shows.

Well done Alun for organising and everyone for getting down and dirty.

I had a great day. Me, Tom & DavePoth changed the headgasket on Stewart's 1850. What a doddle. Alun, Steve Wilkes & Terry (topfuel) stripped the front of the white Sprint which has been at the last two shows. They drew quite a crowd.

Thanks to Alun for organising the stand and thanks to all those that kept the tea flowing. :D
