test run completed, nothing fell off. It's back on the road with 29 hours to spare
I usually take:
torque wrench, spanners, hammer, cable ties, screw drivers, pliers.
water/antifreeze
oil
spare set of wheels with the other tyres on (wet/dry depending on what the weather is going to be)
octane booster
helmet
food
cash
You will also benefit from afoot pump and tyre pressure gage as the pressures will go up a bit with the tyre temps. I usually run between 2 & 4 psi less than on the road.
Your quite welcome to borrow any of the tools That I take anyway.
Spare water might be a good idea for you aswell.
Am I still OK to come along and watch? I want to see Adam's car explode (I have a video camera...)
Yea sure! but as you will be confined to the paddock area you won't get to see all the track (from a spectator point of view). Of course, if you bring a helmet I'm sure there will be plenty of "rides" to be had. I'm not sure if passengers have to pay but it'll only be a tenner at most, but I think it's only second drivers that pay.
Here's my check list:-
Tickets/Passes/Driving Licence
Food
Camera
Helmet
Overalls
Coat
Stop Watch
Sun Glasses (don't think I'll be needing these)
Oil/Water
Tools
Wheels
Jack
Wheel Brace/Impact Drill
Hand Cleaner & Rags
Foot Pump
Fuel Can
Tent

Well steves dolly now runs, but we have just noticed the top ball joint ahs gone so will swap that in a bit, and I'm just about to statlooking the Jensen, bleed brakes, fix ehaust leak and a general check then just the tools to sort. I think I could be cutting this one a bit fine.
Think I've got all my stuff ready. full tank of fuel, full 25 litre jerry can, water, oil, rags, small assortment of tools, cameras, tripod (for in car), license and more....
Well the Jensen is now done, Went to fit the top ball joint to the dolly, discovered a puddle of fluid on the floor. Turned out to be the pipe to the clutch resevior had split this evening. That has also been done so just tools to sort now. I think we may actually be finished before midnight tonight for the first time this week. just as well with a half five ferry to catch tomorrow morning.
Yes Jony Adam did make it to the track and shall be known from this day forward as the "Welsh Wonder".
What a good crowd Diane and I thoroughly enjoyed our day, I took to the grass twice all Dolly's and Neils Jensen were very fast and made a good show, the marshals however thought we were slow cos every time we came up behind a modern to overtake their blue flag lay limp by their sides but as soon as you had overtaken the modern they would wave frantically at you to let them pass
Mad Mart took me round and showed me why he got the name.
Video's to follow.
