Nice to see so much interest in the topic, dont worry chaps it is all in hand, lets deal with the group 2 arches first.
When its time to do panels we will be looking at all the points mentioned above and some, if it is not financially viable or the gains are not there then we will not proceed.
Darren carbon fibre bonnets and boots can be done, awaiting some prices, will keep you posted.

Thanking you
Im saving my pennies

What other things we could have done ?
Carbon boot floor with diffuser
I think it would work better than a bootlid spoiler
Would need an aftermarket petrol tank though
Anyone think of anything else ????

Did The arches idea ever get anywhere as I would like a set for my car. Failing that can anyone lend a set to makr some moulds from?

Please be patient, they are being made, I can tell you that moulds have been made for the fronts and a set of front arches are about to come out of the moulds, the rear arches are being built up and prepared as we speak. The best things come to those who wait, and all that.

I'm not sure if there's much to be gained at the boot end anyway, it's all relatively smooth there (compared to my fiesta at least, which has the tyre hung underneath). Maybe a pair of extensions to the seams along the bottom of the rear wings would help manage airflow better, and cheaply to boot.

I don't think there would be a noticeable effect until you reached speeds that would rip the rear window out....

I dunno, you get them fitted to all kinds of basic cars these days. Even Priuses have them, so it must make a bit of a difference.

A bit yes! But a measurable/noticeable difference??? Definitely a cosmetic difference, but on a dolomite? Could possibly look rather 'wankey'... IMO: The time/effort / resources would be better spent on developing some more engine parts, or 'mass' producing 'quick rack' shafts & pinions.

A properly designed diffuser a couple of mpg in economy, which will be quite an improvement to the drag.
Many people will tell you that the sprint would be a lot faster were it not for the appalling aerodynamics, anything that can help will make a big difference on the track. It will look a bit silly though.

The best area to study is....................underneath the car, an undertray that smooths the flow of air would have a good effect at speeds above 85.
