Been lurking here for quite a while now, especially as I am in the process of building a new Sprint engine for my TR7.

Some great info here on this forum, and a very nice job you're doing on that engine

Will introduce myself in the general section

Some updates.

I did remake the loom to have more different groups, 16 fuses in total and that was 10. The petrol injection system has it's own fuses and power and the lpg system also. No overlay, only one main component a fuse to have things working when something minor does shortcut. Also brake/indicator/reverselamps, blower and wiper have their own fuse. All the ground wires i did take out of the loom and had some multi ground spade connectors on the chassis where all the grounds can go on. The enginebay loom had seperate looms for the engine/injectionsystems and the rest. I did split up the loom again and all illumination has one seperate loom. The relais have a coloured tag on them for what it is. The colours do identify the type of relay and these are interchangeable so you can replace a major function one by a minor function one if a main one fails easy. The dash has a new layout and looks a bit as my rally gp2 dash with the switches around the steering column. All peroid parts this time. My terratrip 303 out and the first terratrip model in. This i bought non working but it was only a loose wire internal. It had an option for a remote so i did made one on the passengers door. I did use a grey spiral and grey connector for the '70 look. The only modern gauge is the air/fuel gauge but i did manage to fit a smiths bezel around.

The rev counter does almost look the same as my mechanical one for my rally car. I did not want to fit one in this car because i didn't want a take off on the head. So i took a smiths speedo from an old brit bike what has the same dimensions, bezel and needle and i did fit a modern electric revcounter in the housing with a dail from a smiths rev what was laying around so it's almost the real thing. The shiftlight is an '80 item mad by microdynamics, the company that also makes the lumenition ignitons etc.

The pedals are grayston ones but an '80 item. The only modern is the footrest and the passengers footrest. These are modern OMP's but i did paint them black. These are cast alu and the best. Not as these floppy sheet alu things.

Another story is the audio system. I had a modern radio in the glove compartment (what fried two times due to a leaky screen) and a period not working on the parcelshelf. When i replaced the brown interiour to black i did also fitted period speaker covers over modern speakers. A flat sub is going under the frontseat. It's not a boom boom car but a very decent sound at normal volume level. You do not have to oversteer your "normal" speakers to have some low tones. At my work we do fit Caliper rcd110 radio's a lot becasue of the classic look. But they do look too '60 for a dolomite. Too much chrome and the knobs were too retro.

These are the ones: They are also in black but these are too black and too high gloss. I did spry with some plastic wrinckle effect spray the fron housing and the parts where the knobs are at just to leave a tiny chrome edge. The knobs i replaced by knobs from an period old radio so this way it suits me total in my Dolomite. At the rear i already did weld the brackets for the 5 link rearsuspension. It is a bit of a try out for my rally car and see and feel how that goes on the gravel and forest. The dash has the main gauges and switches also on the same spot as my rally replica so i can used to it where to look.
I hope to finish the interiour and loom etc. in about 1 month and then start working at the engine, gearbox and rearaxle again.

Sorry John, didn't manage to find a genuine '85 flux condensor and i do not want to fit a cheap chinese aftermarket one.

I think it needs more gauges.

A drivers temp gauge maybe.

I presume that means 4 parallel links and a Panhard rod
