Before the engine and gearbox can go in I need to do some other 'housekeeping'!

First, the fuel and brake lines.

Next, hubs and brakes. New Timken bearings all round... Club brake calipers and new lines etc... nos Unipart pads

Same thing on the rear, NOS shoes, new hardware

and this is when I screwed my finger up! Fitted the axle on, I'm not happy with the rear line, I will re-do it. I don't think the template I had was right.

I thought I'd hang the rear exhaust to save me faffing in the future. Well, silicone and rubber exhaust mounts don't mix! My finger slipped and twisted a long way round, a lot more than it should! 90 degrees isn't good! I managed to just strap it to the other finger with some tape, it'll be fine.

With that on I got the pedals in

Refurbished heater in as well as the wiper box. This was an experiment to see how easy it it was to refurb the heater. I'll NWLs so will save the how to for there.

Last thing before the engine, lights! New rubbers, refurbished retainers. Powder coated bowls, new adjusters etc... Plenty of Bilt Hamber!
