Good meeting everybody today and really glad I came over.

Spent more than I made, but hey! It's all in the name of good things Triumph!

Nice to put faces to names, meet all the gang and carry out 'operation engine stand'

I will be back next year!!!

P.s. - I arrived home 10 mins ago and have work at 8:30am :(

I really enjoyed it as well. Good to meet friends and telling the sad sorry tale of the demise of my Sprint. Nathan certainly got the look right. Congrats on the 2nd prize. Not the first time the TDC has won a prize at Stoneleigh in some shape or form.

Another excellent, if very tiring day.

Delighted to see so many old friends and to make a few new ones. Just sorry I couldn't get there earlier. Increasingly, these events are about talking to people rather than buying stuff for me! Still, I managed to buy some nice microfibre cloths, and some of that Belgo alloy polish that Phil recommended. Kev's and my experiment with Toledo boot seals also gets a chance to move to the next phase too.

I thought the stand looked excellent and the 2nd prize was deserved and a real credit to all you guys who had make such an effort. I saw Mike walking across the car park in the aforementioned green suit and actually thought I had received a bump on the head and awoken in 1972! Outstanding!

I managed to connect everybody with the parts I had taken up there which was also a result. It is comforting to know that the two engines and a gearbox that I took up for Jod have already travelled across the south of England at three figure speeds before they have received his magic touch. :D

Nice to meet you Alan, and many thanks for the engine stand. Also good to talk to Steve, Neil and Liam for the first time. Got the old core to Malc and a starter and alternator to Alun, so it all went well for me. Rob, Mark, Glynn - I will write something for the magazine - I promise!

Then it was back in the Rangie for the schlepp back to Bromley to pick up my daughter, then down to Wiltshire to drop her back at her mother's house. Then finally back up to Kenley, and bed! Over 550 miles under the wheels and on just over one tank. Roll on next time....

Good to see those of you who attended the spares swap in the car park! :D

Thanks go to Adam for providing the laughs in the micra full of parts, hope you got home ok mate!

Kev for the amusing ringtone!

Russ for introducing himself!

Martin for the engine... Glad you got home safely after the epic journey and don't have food poisoning this morning!

And all the other fine 1300 believers!

Oh and Jod for breakfast, hope Kat has forgiven you!

Congrats to everyone on the stand for gaining yet another second place, maybe next year?! :D

How about linking up with the TR7 club and doing a bit of Bodie and Doyle (Proffessionals)? I'm sure we can get Alun to dye his hair brown!!!

Sorry I never got to see it myself as time was pressing after loading of trailers, micras etc... As always it's great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones, the two chaps from over the water who did a roaring trade in engine stands for example!

Just don't try fitting a beetle wheel to your Dolly!

It was a good day indeed...once the sun had moved round the end of the building!

Mother crocheted another blanket, Susie managed to sell her broken bit of car for just shy of what the replacement bit cost and I finally off loaded those infernal TC hub caps (thanks Nathan!). The three of us were in awe of Colin's good fortune

Good to see all old friends and finally put a face to the name of the famous Ken Clarke; the strength of that conversation alone meaning the day was probably a financial deficit!

The highlight of the day had to be seeing David's jaw drop when he walked into my yard at dusk having followed us home; hope my instructions were clear and you made good time home David.

Talking about that wheel problem.....

Take a look at my other posts. I have a small question!!!

Why I gained a beetle wheel nut I will never know! :)

The best part of the show for me was seeing old and new faces - including members from New Zealand and the US!

Everyone is so nice that it always restores my faith in humanity. I wish I encountered more Dolly-like people in my everyday life. You are a great bunch - pat yourselves on the back :D

As for Colin's Sprint; whilst I am certainly not an expert, the boy did good! Congratulations
