For those of us travelling through and meeting up in Salisbury, any ideas on the best place to meet?

Where did Malc and Mart meet up last year?

It was some Esso Garrage IIRC on the LH Side as you go through Salibsury but I'll have to leave it to Mart to give us the map co-ordinates or road name, was an easy find though.

Can someone book the nice weather, i've got serious withdrawl symptoms, haven't driven a sprint since October last year, it has been a long winter. My lad has done more miles powered by a Honda GX160 Engine than i've done powered by a SOHC 16V Slant Four

Yerp, the Esso garage is on the Southampton Road (A36). Just down from the roundabout by Salisbury College.

See where the 'A' is on the map, that's Majestic Wines, look up & to the left & you'll see a triangle(wedge) of parked cars, that's the meeting place near as damn it, with the Esso garage just to the right. :D

So Malc, as well as driving a Sprint you'll be arriving in a helicopter, nice trick if you can pull it off!

:D

Helicopters are not my bag i'm afraid, i'm a fixed wing chap. Always worry about the fan being turned off if it's too hot. Been up in a chopper a few times, had a door spring open whilst we were 'banking sharp', seat belt on but there was are a fair amount of brown stuff ready to hit the 'rather big' fan form my fellow passengers. Given the door was open the whiff soon dissapated.

Early start on Sunday then, 07:30 & then 08:30 Rendevous

Crikey J, is there going to be any room for the cars

Any thoughts on how we are going to place the cars on "our pitch":?: Maybe put them facing outwards around three of the sides and the gazebos in the middle :?:

1500fwd
1500
1500hl
1500auto
1850
sprint

just need a 1300 dolly, 1500se and less sprints

Where has Debbies post from last night gone?

Len ,there are far too many sprints about ,they should be traded in for FWDs.

A big thank you to Chris & Justyn for organising this event.

What a great day that was. Had a brilliant drive down (bit foggy to start with but soon brightened up) and SFB didn't miss a beat. It was nice to put some more names to faces (although by 2 weeks time I'll probably have forgotten who's who. ). A good attendance I thought, what was it, 15-16 Dollys?

My thanks to Chris and Justyn too. A cracking show with cracking organisation. Well worth going. Very relaxed drive home on M27 M3 and A34, very few gear changes! Had a mini convoy with a Red Cooper (RL 6447) up to Abingdon, wonder if it was someone from HPOM?

Malc & Matt nipped off down to the New Forect near Lymington to show XAA to its original owner (1st 10 years) he and his wife were delighted to see the car some 18 years after they sold it

Thanks to all who attended.
there were 15 car, one of which we burrowed from the public display area.
it was a great day and a trip to the local dolomite pub afterwards.

next year will be a two day event with camping on site.
