If anyone is interested in going to Eastern Dolly Day, on 2nd August at Ferry Meadows, Peterbough.
Which is a great day out and we normally get about 20 dollys on the stand. Please let me know - so I can work out numbers and request more space if necessary. Entry forms can be downloaded from http://www.dollymixture.org.uk

It would be great if we could have a huge turn out this year
Cheers
Glynn

Anyone else going to Nene Park on Sunday?

My cars in bits at the moment, but I expect I'll be there if the weather allows me to finish it

Great turn out of cars today at ferry meadows, fantastic amount of well presented triumphs.

Passed Michelotti in my french blue 2000 on the way there from northampton and more or less followed him most of the way back. Fine looking fwd you know. 8)

Spoke with a gentleman on the stand with a green 1850, very helpful chap, im almost ready to put mine back on the road now, just a few more weeks.

Purchased the wrong inner wish bone bush though. Never mind mail order it is then.

Loved the line up of dollys, looked real good. :P

This Marina, though some will find hard to agree..was absolutely stunning! Fully restored in it's original colour..

Leather interior to the same shade and design of the original material which was badly worn.Image

I was told by the owner of this Morris Princess that this car is one of only two left!...the other one is even worse! So, there are no roadworthy Morris wedges...which I was shocked by and I think a real shame..

Help Needed in finding a car

Hi,

Does anyone know if this "Morris Wedge" "JBL 911N" still exists? Amazingly this is the actual car I learnt to drive in many years ago and I can even see that, at the time of the photo at least, it still had the drivers door my father and I replaced.

It would be lovely to know whether this classic car ever got off the trailer and is somewhere running under its own steam (no pun intended even though it used to overheat for a past-time as soon as the sun came out!).

I know that it is still registered with the DVLA VEHICLE ENQUIRY website. Which I think means it hasn't been scrapped.

Many thanks for any help

Last taxed in 1994 and just being on the DVLA database sadly doesnt mean it hasn't been scrapped!
As thsoe pics are only two years old i would guess it is still about.

Thanks for the reply '1300dolly'.

I stand corrected with the DVLA database. I had assumed that because I have noticed that cars I have scrapped no longer appeared on the database that it was a way of checking if a car had met it's maker.

Cheers

Isn't that Morris 18/22 one of those in Nick Larkin's collection of such things?

Just to let you know, I have traced the owner of this 'Wedge' via another owners club. I haven't made direct contact yet but I am told the new owner hopes one day to get around to restoring it. I am reliably informed that it is one of only two left and it is in far better shape than the other. Strangely I feel somewhat proud to have been part of its existance!
